the same goes for any company with a lot of money. If alpine hired an all SPL engineering team im sure they'd come up with some great gear because they have the money to do so. Much more money than Blau. However alpines sales would drop hugely if they didnt still have a product line for the everyday customer.
Theres no money to be made in SPL. This is why DD has now come out with the 1000 and 2500 series that are more mainstream friendly.
