Seriously though I've seen this place change ALOT, I've been a member for hell 10yrs now. I find the forum is kind of like a high school "click" or group when a few people go their ways you think everything changes when in fact its pretty much the same thing just with different people floating around. The forum was taken over by someone who had more or a Business sense of mind about it and not a more or less hobby sense of mind like in years past. I bitched as much as most when it happened, I even lost my Admin status because I didn't like change and stopped participating. But alas the info that can be found here is great, the people are still good people, they may have just moved onto other things. I never made a post in here for over a year but I have caught the car audio bug again and here I am.


But I do still blame Dukk.

Hey, I wasn't gonna be the one who posted anything about a premature climax... I do have a reputation to uphold LOL The whole section seems like it was a much needed and temporary release. That's ok, I have to go buy more popcorn anyways... Maybe there will be more entertainment when I get back ahaha

Same one... I think I've owned it 3 years now.. I just keep finding other things to work on. I think the impending $2k tranny bill is keeping me from getting too excited about it.

$2k tranny bill? Wtf tranny does it have in it? Is it a BOP turbo 400? If so, they can be had for a lot cheaper than that.

And it have been longer than 3 years....lol. I stepped away from the scene about 4 yrs ago, and you had it then.....should go back and look through your posts and see....lol.

No, it's a Caddy only 1966 Hydromatic 400. Bellhousing fits only the 390 and 429 Caddy. When they switched to the 472/500 engines, Cadillac then went to the BPO bellhousing pattern. Nobody has been able to tell me if it would have the switchpitch converter in it either. And, being a hearse it has an extended tailshaft too - can't just roust one out of a dead Fleetwood..

Any shop I call says they have to rebuild the one that's in the car. "Should cost about $1200-1500 including re and re". Yeah... I'm expecting 2large...
