Guys I need your help here

I only just a couple weeks ago completed my system and am now just finishing up the last few details on the car to ready it for IASCA SQ competition. I know I have missed alot of shows already this summer but what i need to know is between now and the beginning of september how many shows through out ontario can we expect to see? I am really hoping just to make enough to get me enough points for finals. Oh and on that topic how many points do you need to receive to be entered for finals?

Hello, Here is some info regarding the finals, as for shows look on the calendar for IASCA events... this weekend there is a 3X and then a 2X in Northern New York as well as a 3X in Kingston on the 20th. The Kingston one is listed on the events calendar here on CCA. PM me and I will give you more information if you need it!

Hope this helps.

Martine

This is from a email I received directly from IASCA regarding points:

Competitors will need to accrue 70 points in order to qualify for an
automatic invitation to the 2006 IASCA Finals.
All 2005 IASCA Finals Champions in all classes will automatically
receive an invite to the 2006 IASCA Finals.

All competitors must be current IASCA members for the 2006 season and
their membership expiration date can not be any earlier than September
20th, 2006. All memberships MUST be current and in good standing no
later than July 31st, 2006 at 6:00 pm (EST), there are no exceptions or
extensions to this deadline.

SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS
Like last year, we understand that not every region will have enough
shows to satisfy the 70 point requirement for Finals and we have
provisions for those members; here they are;

Competitors who do not have any events within a 350 MILE RADIUS (700
mile diameter) of where they live may apply for an invitation to the
2006 IASCA Finals through the website. There is a link to a form in each
member?s profile; that form MUST be filled out COMPLETELY with the
proper information; once we receive it we will review the situation and
contact you to notify you whether you will receive an invitation. Any
false information (just typing in a series of letters or numbers because it
is a required field) will not be allowed and if we receive a request
for an invitation with text such as that, or N/A or NONE, it will result
in the competitor not getting an invitation, no exceptions.

Competitors with a limited number of events within a 350 mile radius
of where they live MUST attend and compete at that event/those events,
even though it may not allow them to accrue the required number of
points. This shows us that you are making a concerted effort to support the
dealers/promoters who are hosting these events for you; even though
there may not be enough events in your area to allow you to accrue the
required 70 points, we will grant you an invitation based on your
dedication and support. Competitors who wish to receive an invitation to the
2006 IASCA Finals in this scenario must also go to the link on the main
page of the forum and fill in the application, no exceptions.

All IASCA members who are active duty Military, Police and Fire
Department personnel will automatically receive an invitation to the 2006
IASCA Finals. If any members who are active Military, Police or Fire
Department personnel have not received their invitation within 30 days
prior to the Finals, please contact us via email and we will issue it to
you.

These are the only exceptions to the 70 point qualifying rule. Unlike
last year, you will not be granted an invitation if ?your vehicle wasn?t
completed and because of that you couldn?t get to the show or you
couldn?t make it to any shows?, this reason is no longer acceptable?no
exceptions.

These exceptions do not automatically guarantee you will receive an
invitation; each request will be reviewed to determine whether the
applicant qualifies. And as mentioned, the applicant will be notified via
email or phone, stating whether they received their invitation or not.

Well Hopefully I can make it to the last few events in region 9, unfortunatley I will not be ready for the show in syracuse this weekend, and with any luck I will be able to talk to IASCA and show them that there really was a limited amount of SQ shows within a 350 mile radius of me.

The easiest thing to do is call them directly. They are good people and will help with what they can! You going to be ready for the 20th? Being a 3X you will be able to get a few points there!

Yes finally someone from Kingston,i've been looking and could not for the life of me find any stereo shops up etc.

So whats the name of the shop and how many other stereo shops or there up there

and trying to find houses is another story, you either go from the ghetto ones to the 500k plus ones.Nothing in between
