gotta say that's a lame attitude randy....how often do you go to the island??? it's not like you go every weekend....you should go and make a weekend out of it. make it a little more worthwhile.

luke travels to 80% of the events AND COMPETES at them, and he has to pay that AND MORE everytime he comes across

so you are not wanting to be involved with the costs of competing, that's fine, I can understand other priorities could come first, but to purposly make a point of making a public post, to complain about the cost of things is lame in my opinion.

you think us competitors have it rough??? try putting on a show....a GOOD show....and see what costs you incurr....then compare it to the roughly $200 you'd have to spend.

I for one will be there to support the industry, as I have been for the past few years. It's the least I can do for having people like luke, chris, and alex who have to come over from the island to 99% of all the shows.....

suck it up princess!!

well price does dictate to people with a family Will.... and as far as supporting the industry how many road trips to saskatoon have you made... just for a single point event.... my commitment is first and foremost to family and if this hobby gets to expensive for the family budget then i cant attend, that simple.. i dont live at home with mom and dad.. i dont have full sponsership, i have 3 kids, and other activities... and i still hit at least 5 to 15 shows a yr... from as far back as 92.. thats alot of shows and commitment to this industry.... this show i was just voicing my personal disapointment in the fact that right now thats to expensive for me as i am getting married in late aug in alberta and thats eating up all my funds.. do i support the shows... yes but family first, hockey second, golf third then my hobby... iam not 22 anymore. and 40 was a long time ago... how many other 40 yr olds are doing this out here..... i know that i was one of the or the oldest person at jeffs show...... with the exception of Dale, keith, robert, geroge and myselft.. who eles is over 40 and putting in the money time and effort in getting there car just right to compete..
ok that being said.......... the problem with writting is you cant see emotion in the words. if that was so you would have seen me sighing while writting the first post..... than all misunderstandings would be avoided...
