1) I am actually planning a trip to borden sask july 3rd. this year alone I have been to chilliwack, kamloops, calgary, and castlegar. the season has only been open for a month. you made it out to a show in chilliwack.....but didn't compete, and you live there. Last year I travelled 15,000+ kms to events, including calgary twice, prince george, castlegar, kamloops, etc. you made it out to what ?? 2 or 3 stereo events???

I realize you have other commitments, but shy of seeing alot of install pics on your car, I haven't seen much of you around....I didn't even see you at chilliwack. Erin told me you showed up. not to mention the time and money I spend on the 10-15 guys in the team I lead. Oh this is all on my personal time and bill too randy. I donot have a full sponsorship, or else I'd be a pro. I don't even work in the industry. I work for a construction company for below market wages.....

since 2005 I've been to over 55 shows, and competed. Many of those shows I've brought anywhare from 1 to 6 other competitors with us. I have gotten many other people interested in the sport of spl as well, not to mention been to worlds with 2 cars in 2008, one of them placing 3rd in the world, the other 9th....

this is my hobby. I am not here to argue with you, I know you do what you can.

I really don't care for someone purposly making a point of bitching about how expensive everything is to go to the island....we already know it's expensive...that's weiner talk, and should be translated to something with a little more style

ie: Sorry luke, can't make it to this one, finances not available at this time...

instead of: ferries:$150, food $30, gas, $30, entry $25, raffles $10, flat tire on the way home $150, speeding ticket on the way there $275. ....nope too expensive for me st this point. ouch.

do you see my point??? these costs are incorperated with every event somehow. I just didn't see the need to post a thread to say what everyone already knows. it's expensive to go to the island....it looked to me like you were looking for a bitchfest, and I stepped up to the plate.

sorry if I judged it wrong, but that is how it looked from this side of the monitor.

Cant wait to get off this island..... Last week it was cheaper to fly to Calgary and back vs. driving (16 hours minimum each way) + those stupid ferries. I will miss the area, can always fly back. Will Calgary see me in a competition format, who knows, there might be one more 40 year old + competitor next year if I have the time free.
