Question Jvc head unit custmization?

i just bought this JVC head unit and i didnt properly read when i bought it that it has woofers and speakers output in the same port....and i have two amps running at the same time one mono amp for woofers and other 4 channel for speakers....now i have to connect both amps to the head unit but i cant cuz it has only one port to plug in and i have only 1 choice.....WOFFER'S AMP OR SPEAKER's AMP.....it gives me option in menu that if i wanna turn on output for woofers or speakers but on the back it has only one like WADDA....is there any way that i can open the unit and solder the wire out for SPEAKERS'S amp RCAs? thanks i know its boring

Is there any way that you can take it back from where you got it from? JVC has been putting out decks that only have two sets of outputs lately (one that doubles as the sub out) on their lower end decks. Either that or you can lose the fader control and run your fronts and rears off of the front outputs. As for going inside the unit an soldering...no.

thanks bro....i opened it up yesterday and i looked for ever possible way to separate RCA from woofers output but it is designed like u cant do anything....alots of stuff have to be changed and alots of resisters have to move around so i just left it like that and playin speakers with head unit instead of the amp...

you can buy a "y" rca splitter and split up the rca outs from 2 outs to 4. this way you can run at least 2 amps thru your rcas. another option is adding an eq or cross over network. many of these have a single rca in, and multiple rca outs, with much more controll over sound. you can also go the outher route of buying in-line convertors, that will take a speaker lead and turn it into rcas, if you go this route and get 2 sets, this will enable you to run at least 3 amps off your deck alone, and be able to use full otions of the deck. you can also get amps with rca outputs on them for multiple amp set-ups. There are a TON of options, it's all in what you want to do and how much you want to spend.

buddy u r awsome....i cant go with ur first y rca splitter option cuz in my deck i have to choose from menu that if i wanna turn those RCAs on the back into speaker signals or woofer signals but cant turn on both at the same time so i m limited there.....However, i like the IN-LINE converter option.Ok, so i can just hook that in-line converter with my speaker wires coming outta the deck and output of that converter will be going to the amp as RCA signals? ....if yes i will be buying that

Yes. the convertors cost around 20 bux each, so for 40 bux, you can make it work. most shops use this as an option to hook up a sub to factory headunits. They are available at pretty much all shops, but you can get them at canadian tire and Wal-mart too.
