rob, I suggested the trunk class to him but he squashed it saying he didnt want more street class's. He even had a matrix with it included. So yes id run the trunk class.

LCS has always done a Loudest Trunk Award to recognize the trunk competitors.

Trunk Classes - I think that it has pros and cons no matter how it is done. A, B, C , NW would be easy as the rules are built already however it is alot of extra trophies for the promoter. If a show turnout is low, you would be lucky to have competitors in each class. If you did the +/- 5000 watt classes, It would be less trophies however, you would have to write up a whole new rules and guidelines for this format, maximum this and that. Also, the same issue could happen with a poor turnout.

I remember when I competed at my first Slam Jam Show back in 99 with my GTP and had it handed to me by a crx, I wondered how it was fair with the car comparisons. I can say, I have heard every trunk competitor ask the same question since. The amount of sigs out there that say Loudest Trunk...

I figured that when the came out with Street Max, they could have seperated the vehicles at that time but chose not to. Street Max could have been CRX's, Pandas, SUV's and Minivans. They could have made Street trunk vehicles for the most part.

Just let me know what you end up deciding and we will see if LCS can include it in the Event.

This is the breakdown of classes. If I can get cleared to come up I can help with trophies if thats the decideing factor.

Participation will be the decideing factor on whether or not a Trunk Class will be added to DbDrag.
