LOCATION? for IASCA training
LOCATION? for IASCA training
Ok Guys and girls I need some help here. I have been reading everyones post on various threads for sometime now and I have been trying to monitor where each of u live.
I am trying to determine the lost logical spot for IASCA training and because I am not totally familiar with the lay of the land out WEST I need suggestions on where to hold the training.
Obviously everyone's wish is to have the training close to them but that just isn,t realistic. Another key factor in determining the location of the training is who can offer a good location to host the training. All I need is a room that can fit 15-20 people comfortably with tables for the participants to write on and take notes. A screen with projector and a small sound system would be needed to.
Once I have a place picked out I can budget the cost of the training and set the registration fee! Whatever the fee may be it will include your membership, Cd, and rule book. The cool thing is that your judges membership also covers competitor membership.
So start sending in your suggestions on where the training should be and who can help out with the classroom.
Worth noting when I do my trainings out my way(which is happening on April 25th...new post for the EAST will be going up soon)is that I tie them in with a show. It works perfect because most of my judges compete and this way they can come to the training on a Sat and compete on the Sunday. I also select a nearby hotel and get special rates for any one who wants to stay overnight and save driving back and forth to the show. Most hotels will give anyone a good rate if you block off enough rooms! If anyone is thinking of having a show or is having a show a training the day before would benefit you if u have the place for the training.
If anyone has any questions just post here or email me!
Cheers

^ lol.
IF indeed Robert is still in the mix as some sort of IASCA contact, then his shop seems like the obvious choice. It's in Port Kells (North Langley, just west of 200th street on 96th Ave if you want to look it up Jason) so relatively central for most of the greater Fraser Valley/Lower Mainland folk. Plus, and I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is - people from the interior of BC are more likely to come to the Vancouver area than the other way around.
