I have bought practically all the equipment I need other than wiring. Is it a case of the "cart before the horse" scenario?

I wonder how long it would take to learn how to do this stuff myself......... ? Probably longer than it takes save up more than $5K (disposable spending money as opposed to required spending money such as mortgage payments.)

Tim is right, I did go off a bit...

I just see too many people buying expensive stuff them skimping out on the installation, when in fact properly installed and tuned average to good product will easily outperform great product that was installed poorly...

My suggestion is to have the system installed by the same shop that sold you the product. That way you have waranty on what you bought (since most manufacturers don't warranty products installed by non-authorized dealers for more than 90 days, with some exceptions), and someone to help you in case you run into trouble with the gear.
