I guess that means I should take out this variable of competing from the equation if I ever want to get this install done.

I have bought practically all the equipment I need other than wiring. Is it a case of the "cart before the horse" scenario?

I wonder how long it would take to learn how to do this stuff myself......... ? Probably longer than it takes save up more than $5K (disposable spending money as opposed to required spending money such as mortgage payments.)
