Meca...

Question to everyone... how do you feel about the possibility of MECA coming to Ontario...

would people rather do that rather than dbDrag?

The rules of dbDrag have become a bit uhm... difficult to understand and it seems like there is no one that can really answers with any consistency. (Sorry Don... but I've sent letters directly to Wayne and get zero answer.. plus it seems like the judges can't even agree sometimes)

Welcome to MECA!

Check the site and rules to see what they have to say.... leave your opinion here please.

Btw.. NO I'm not the one who will be bringing MECA here... there have just been a few people talking about it in the past so I'm kinda wondering what kind of appetite there is for it.

if meca is what the people want so be it. As a representative of db drag i welcome a 5th organization into the scene and maybe we can all work together.

3 questions.

1) Do they use TL or AC?

2) Do they have bassrace?

3) Who are the other organizations? The only other one I can think of is IASCA.

Personally, if they don't have bass race I could care less, only because bassrace is sick. Plus Don is cool folk so thats another point for dbDrag

What I would like to see is some different things like MECA Drive-by, the different street beat classes, Headrest scores, and Bass boxing.

They use the TL but for everything else Uhh... go to the web page an read?

I haven't checked out the entire rule book nor do I know what all the classes are.

Like I said, I'm not the one bringing it here or anything, I just know that a few people mentioned MECA when there was a discussion about last years finals location so I'm just curious about whether or not people would even consider it.

Yeah I went through and looked at it last night. There are a few interesting classes, obviously no bassrace lol. Like jalat said the drive by to me would be the most appealing, and bass boxing if they had it, but at the same time I think bass race still kills those.

btw now have you prestiged? lol

Myles the other orgs are tneslp and cspl(if richard brings it back like he planned). Bass boxing is an iasca thing jalat. From what I remember ppl were talking about meca because the finals was held closer. Didn't have anything to do with class's or anything. Meca does have some interesting rules about classing tho. Like the fusing + cone area = class and no fusing automatically jumps you into the highest class.

I think at this point, where car audio is a dying breed, we could use all the venues we can get. The only thing I could see being a problem is if we add another venue, is there going to be too many events? Or will there be adequate spacing between the IASCA, dB Drag, and MECA events so that we can all get around to all of them?
