I am getting two new JL subs - 10w3v2

But...one is D2 and the other is D6 - will this be a problem if i am running them with a 250/1 monoblock JL amp?

Also, will i need a tightening cap?

Thanks,

Kevin

normally it is a problem but 'I THINK' with that amp it doesnt matter as it has a switch or something like that that let's u set the amp to see whatever impedence (ohm) u want it to see, anywhere from 1 ohm upto 4 ohm. BUT i could be way off, im not too big on jl audio gear so i could be wrong.

Hey Kevin,

Seriously, where did you hear the term "tightening cap" ??? Did a shop provide you with that term? I'm just curious to find out who's using that lingo.

Stiffening cap or power cap or lightning cap. I too have once heard it referred to as a tightening cap when I was down in the US once. Who knowns what the Yanks and the Newfies call things these days.
