noob question

ok finaly wired up my system, and was desapointed. started thinking if the problem is in my pioneer gm-222 amp, the sealed box or the pyramid power 700W 12" sub. called up my buddy and ask him if i could try out his 12" mtx thunder 6000 in my box with my amp, so we did and holy shi t what a diff. so its the stupied pyramid sub.

now i have a choice of a replacement sub, a 12" mtx thunder 6000 in my sealed box, or i can get a 10" kicker competion in a kicker slot ported slim box. which would you guys and gals sugest? keep in mind its will be powered by a 80 rms pioneer amp.

thanks everybody

but which sub will sound better considering that mtx will be in a sealed box and a kicker will be in a slot ported box?

did anyone have any expiriance with the mtx thunder 6000, and kicker comp

On 80 rms i would go with the kicker comp, you will get better ouput with the lower power and aswell with the ported enclosure.
