i never once said anything about jeff.. or have i never met the guy. I'm sure he is a nice person. Best buy is your show and shine show care stuff... nothing is wrong with it. but what everyone is trying to say is, how come we are not invited.

yuli that was such a wonderful post and brought a tear to all spl eyes.
true car audio seen was built by people who wanted more from there systems. Not stuff on display from a panels wall with 20ft ceilings. Its built by people who build spaceships....and a bit of tuck tape or aluminum tape. even the person who buys a 6 pack of beer , and tinkers with 4 subs and puts different parts together to get what he wants. NOT what he is told he wants.
Its very said but true but the average 18-22 year old kid will goto the big store and take something off of a shelves and claim his is loud while only using 8gauge while to hook it all up.
i bet we all of us spl guys showed yup. Yuli would be doing sales out the back of his van. Don taking orders for custom boxs and Best buy would kick us out due to lost of profit.
I would say goto make your own flyer and hand them out at local high schools in the area.
"NOT what he is told he wants." As a certified installer and car audio sales associate, I always sold the customer what they wanted. If they mentioned a brand that they liked, I would recommend a way for them to get it. If they were serious about competing, I would recommend brands, orgs and car audio sites such as this one.

CCA has a lot of members, many noobs like yourself, you may find out that there are many on here with equipment that allows them to come out and play. People have to start somewhere. If this show is so "GAY" to you, maybe its not the show or thread for you to take part in. This show isn't the best show for serious spl people, however, there are people out there who would like to try it and there are still many out there that don't know about it.
I am out to help grow the industry while people like you are out killin it! I support Yuli 100% with TFone as he is out helping the industry as well and Canadian to boot. You would be surprised on how many farmers out here know about his subs.
My plan is to do a few of these shows to get some new people and next year do these shows with other orgs to help build them. What are you doing for the industry? Or do you prefer to be in classes by yourself? Trust me, you will just hold your own shows down the road to get rid of your trophies.

What's being said is "these are the rules we want you to follow so you can compete in our show"
I own a Phoenix Gold Cyclone... it's banned in every car audio org because it's not a "regular" sub... it's a servo powered transducer.
Instead of me getting upset because I can't use it I just find equipment that fist in to the classes.
It's the same as the Harrison Labs Drag Queen amplifier. It's banned in just about every org.
Basically what I'm saying is that just about every show you go to has equipment limitations. The limits for THIS show are pretty strict compared to what most orgs have but it's for a reason.
Once you realize what the reason is and get behind the idea of not pushing away new competitors (rather than being offended because your gear doesn't fit) then I think/hope it will all become clearer

Who said you aint invited? Keep the wattage under 2K? This show is a challenge in its own. What can you do with a limit of 2K? Do I need to build a "PRO" class to make you feel welcome? The manufacturer list was a joke, didnt you watch it grow as names were called out? Is there manufacturers on there that Best Buy don't sell? Oooooh Big Bad Box Stores blah blah blah, they are still around aren't they!
