Next year since the jimmy will be done at the start of the season i will be in a position to make it to much more events as i wont be in the middle of the build the hole time like i have been this year. |
come to keiths finals in aug that will be a huge show also , in alberta aug 13th and 14th theres a 3x show and a single pt show all on the same weekend spruce grove , red deer , i also doing a big show at the end of the month already invested 1200 just in awards and swagg for that show

But i will do my best to make it to as many as possible once the vehicle is ready ! Gonna be ordering my IASCA membership here soon too. Looking forward to seing some loud ass vehicles at finals in august & making some new friends. I am a youtube partner, I make money off all my videos, Those included. I am not going to play into this hole "beef" thing. I showed up with my team with some of the loudest vehicles at the show & we brought home 6 1st/2nd place medals between 6 people. We dont act like we are the best, But we where exited with our results & aware of the room for improvement. My enclosure was extremely rushed & anybody who actually watched my youtube videos would see that we had everything in 11AM before we hit the cokahala. But we still showed up because we wanted to support keith & his shop. I messed the port up & the subs had 3.5-3.8 cubes each tops because I messed up the design of the box rushing it, So when I did the cut-sheet I wasnt paying attention & made it too small off old specs I had scrapped. I am suprised you guys decided to attack me & like this instead of congratulate / encourage us for how well we did with all things considered, There was alot of issues with the truck. Enclosure / electrical related. Everything is being fixed & done propperly this time, I have designed my new enclosure with the help of rusty @ DC audio, Aswell as luke99's help. My battery bank is under my truck now and im now running a 14v resting voltage battery bank setup. By the creston show I will have my 2nd 5k amplifier, Both strapped running the woofers @ 1ohm. So I think for my age, & how long I have been doing this at a serious level ( my first SERIOUS year is this year ) and Ive built this truck under 8 months time I am very happy with it. Thanks for all the support luke99 & keith it means alot, I will be at the next show & would have made the previous one in sask but my vehicle was not ready. I am gonna deffinatly make sure to come & support your shop, I enjoyed meeting you & your employee's I was worried at first some of those in this thread where your employee's thats why I originally wasnt sure if I wanted to come again or not, I am glad it wasnt. My dad & I and my team had a great time & we look forward to doing it again, We will be making videos & putting them on youtube so if you guys want to continue to act the way you have, Go ahead. But I wont be responding or playing into it. I will however be putting up big scores at the shows i go to & getting better and better, So will the rest of my team. I dont think you can justify starting this hole thread over me saying I dont want to walk around because theres nothing else to see, We where busy with our own thing & by that time we had seen all the other vehicles so you are using it completely out of context. Not just thowing it together and thinking 147 is a good number on a dual alternator setup with 5000 watts and multiple batteries, with 2-18's. Because it seems you get your information from you-tube or from some heros in the states, and not from first hand knowledge, you will find your climb to the top alot harder than it needs to be. I hope you come out to EVERY event to prove yourself, as it's going to take a LONG WHILE until you earn my respect. ya I totally agreee with what will just said , you will learn 10x the knowlage first hand talking to people at shows and seeing what others bring to the table , then reading forums , things take time and it takes a long time to get everything firing on all cylinders so just keep coming out to shows and youll gain respect and experiance

I hope to meet you at the Soundsgood show, or maybe even the Kamloops show. It looks like you are very interested in car audio and you want to work very hard on your vehicle, and increase your knowledge of this industry. Unfortunately, you will soon see the revolving door that is 'car audio'. People come and go every year, new faces, new names, new vehicles, new product lines. Most of the CCA community can point fingers and name names to those who have impacted our sport and are still around. We can also list off names and teams of people who were one hit wonders. *coughwallycough* *coughsunnnnndooooooowwwwwnnnnnncough*. You will soon learn that we all take a lot of pride in our trade, but also demand a high standard for those who participate in it as well. It's not that you're a bad person, or everyone hates you, we just think that anyone who would like to further themselves in car audio, should take a second to see what has been done already, and realize what this industry is all about. In any of my videos or on here, Like I stated myself & my team-mates where exited with our results with everything considered but aware of the room for improvement. Unlike alot of people I actually point out the mistakes I make in my youtube videos for the world to see, So I dont understand how people get that impression. I even explained how I messed the enclosure up & the port in a video. Most people dont want others to see their mistakes. I did a 149.1 peak with my alternator bracket held on by 1 bolt and my serpentine belt half slipped off the tensioner. We where lucky we even made it down / competed THEN made it home again to find out that 2 bolts where snapped & was the reason my voltage wouldnt go higher than 13.8, So i had to be careful not to stall it in the lanes. We finished the enclosure in 1 day I rushed the cut sheet & messed it up so I paid for it in the end, the subs only had somthing stupid like 3.8 cubes each if even that, Witch is strait murder for lvl 5 18''s. We still came because we wanted to support keith & his shop / the scene in canada. So when we ended up getting this type of feedback in return it was a bit bothersome. I will do my very best to make the kamloops show man I would love to get there for that one as i have family who would like to come out too it. I am in the middle of upgrading my battery bank to 14v batterys & moving them to under the truck in a custom battery wrack witch is getting built on the 27th by my shop that handles that kind of thing. I hope I will have my new propper enclosure done by then & the 0 gauge in and waiting, So when it is finished I can have everything wired up for early august, But it will be close. I had this upgrade planned to be ready for the august 21st show I was unware of the kamloops one when i began this. So I hope to see you aswell & meet you in kamloops man, But if not I will deffinatly see you in coquitlam / creston ! & by creston I will have my 2nd 5k. For those who have offered constructive critisims i appreciate it, It is only when those who have crosed the line & acted unconstructively that has gotten on my nerves. But thanks to the support of luke / keith & others it has made it easyer to brush it all off. For IDBL i am in Advanced, Bassboxing I am lightweight. Although i just switched to a 16.5v charging system i think that might change things. I normally dont talk about people unless they upset me pretty bad at first, As you have seen i havent retaliated in any of thease posts. If i was the person you are making me out to be, I would have embaressed myself & my team on here instead of just ignoring it. so im really stretching hard trying to think of who it could be. I dont mind a challange, But please dont say i talked about you unless i did. If i did, Please remind me because i honestly dont even think i know you. I try very hard to support new people in the car audio scene aswell as appreciate others builds. dc has ten times the gear...but cupid will have the veterans on his side that dont just spend money to be loud..we all know its not about how much money you can spend but about how much time you put into you car your self..paying someone else doesnt count anyone can open there wallet.

Alot of people are very impressed I was able to do my dual alt install myself, & I am fairly proud of that. I have no mechanical background I have 1 year of doing serious work. This is my first build with a speaker amp to give you a better idea. That doesnt mean i should buy lesser quality gear If I can afford / have the sponsors for good products just because I am new. Also i build this vehicle for more reasons than competing, It is a demo vehicle aswell as my daily driver. I am building it to be loud & be competitive, But to also sound good to my liking. |

the drama oh how I love it. If only I had 2 alternators a bunch of 14 volt batteries. I'd even step up into this challenge but I am really quite under powered compared to dc here and I am in a trunk car. But for what i got into my system it will be quite impressive as luke knows.

The statements i have made about andre's dont reflect their shops as a hole or how much they have done for the car audio community, All it reflects apon is the employee's i have dealt with directly witch are not managers or anything of that nature, & again mearly my own opinions. I never acted like i know more than them, But on the one ocassion i did point out their stupidity in recomending ASF fuses over ANL fuses to run my 5k, Witch clearly they could not do & only wanted to make the sale. We never edit our mistake out of our youtube build videos everything is raw. We are still learning & know that full on. Luke & I got in a debate over burping / bassboxing before the competition but i was never trying to come off like i knew more than anybody. If i did however, I apolojize. But if you people would get to know me a bit more you might see that I am a fairly nice humble guy who is just trying to learn & enjoy this hobby. I am glad you are not mad or bitter gregger because thats how you have come across in most of thease posts in this thread, I look forward to you getting to know the real me & maybe putting this all behind us in the future. All I am here to do is enjoy myself & represent the companys that have been kind enough to support me. If I can win some medals & make some friends along the way then that is a bonus. I designed this new enclosure in part with rusty from DC audio. I very much seeked out help from those who know more than me. I took advice from you all & tryed to build the port in my designs like you all recomended but it just does not work with 2 18''s in a jimmy there is not enough width between them for a large enough port & the tuning is far to low. The picture luke posted must have either been 15''s or 18''s in a larger, Old body blazer that is bigger. Each time, I am going to learn & learn. I hope you all will give me the chance to do that in peace without making my experiances misserable. I am open to being friends with anybody on this forum & supporting them in their efforts, I hope the same attitude is reflected back at me. -OkanaganDCaudio |

The new design i have is 240 square inches of port @ 38hz 12 cubes net after displacement. The largest i could get it doing that way in the jimmy was only like 140 square inches around of port, & wouldnt tune higher than high 20's low 30's. |
most likelly port to rear will be your best results , but im sure rusty gave you a good desgn to use

What alot of people are not paying attention to is how messed up and rushed my last enclosure was. The subs didnt even have 4 cubes each & i manged the port trying some stupid theory I had. I was still able to do the 49.1 peak so im not completely convinced it was the port facing up fault. But i am not completely closed off to that idea either, As again this is all new to me. He is doing that @ 42hz too. So with lvl 5's, 16+v & over 5k power with higher tuning & a much larger port, I hope to god to be in the 50's club ! lol |
yes port to back is where its at, had two alpine type r 15's in my yukon on a earthquake d10, 4 gauge runs of postive and negative to a d3100 under back seat to power amp. I was hitting 28hz and getting a 146.8. Was subs up square port out the back.

keep in mind adding more power and changing box size doesnt necceserally mean a higher score , if you can keep your box rise down and get a legit 7 to 8 k out of the subs then yes you should see a significant gain

- in able to get propper enclosure dimensions for 2x lvl 5 18''s box was to close to hatch In my opinion to work effectively. - Couldnt get port dimensions large enough. This might just be a hindrance of using 18''s in a jimmy, Especially behind the rear seats. Its a very tight fit. |
