Jason - I have someone in mind that may have room at their shop. I'll ask him today and if he does I'll get you two talking.

As it turns out, my son has a hockey tourney that weekend, but if I can swing the training, I'll for sure attend.

How slow do you drive grandpa???

vancouver washington is less than 6 hrs from downtown vancouver b.c., and about an hour less from abbotsford/surrey/langley near the border crossings.

That's google time too, if I drove, I could be there in 4 from my house, driving my walled swift, providing the border wasn't busy...

Ok, Mapquest says 6 hours. Still too long for me. It means an overnight stay so roughly $350 total spent.

Or I drive just across Abbotsford to Clearbrook Road. 10mins for me. An hour from downtown Van in typical traffic, or 6minutes for you hot dogs

I don't disagree with your logic, I just thought you over estimated your drive time.

google's shortest route from down town to downtown is 5 hrs, 7 mins.(491 km), a mere jaunt for the people like luke and I who travel thousands of kilometers during the compitition season.

to keep on topic, I am not interested in judging, though I hope more in bc are. I am too busy competing with my team, and working full-time to spare any extra time for judging too....perhaps in a few years???

I've judged in the past (always install) and while I don't know if I would again in the future, I feel the best way to be an effective competitor is to know what both others and I would be looking for in a system and the best way to accomplish that is to take judges training.
