Sanctioned events in maritimes
#21
well we do have a number of events through out the year. Probably 5-6 a year but there always at car shows.
We've never had just an spl event because we dont have enough interest to make it worth our while. some shows we'll have 5 competitors and others we'll have 15-20 (at most) and there's only 3 or 4 of us that really competitive about it. most people just go in for fun or just to see what there system will hit.

ya its hard to find serious competitors that will come out to shows consistantly , if you could find somone who would buy a termlab , split the sanctioning fee and get a few prizes together you could run small shows and whoever shows up shows up and it could atleast cover the sanctioning cost , would atleast be a start to getting somthing goings in your area , i have a similar problom theres no real shops in my area so I have to drive atleast 5 to 6 hrs to compete and drove as far as 15 hrs to regional , really all you can do is host small shows and try and find sponsors and hopfully some shops will step up

a buddie of mine that competes with me, has a term lab system and hes the guy that runs the gear at most of the car shows during the summer.
but talking to our local shops might be a good idea, see if we could get some prizes and such to try and entice more people out.
we talked about starting to use the tempro rules next year and see if people would be interested in trying to run a more offical setup but the vibe we got is that with all the rules and what not a lot of people might not even bother if its too much of a hassel.
right now we just run the street classes according to the number of subs, there sizes and number of amps.

that would be sweet too. i'd love to see some of the setups that you guys are running, in person. well the apple blossom show is always at around the last weekend of may, and then the only other one really worth going to is south shore in motion. we had really good turn outs at both shows last year. prob like 15+ (which is good for us)
