I actually had the exact opposite happen to me. I had a speeding ticket and I guess it was real close to the "suspension" time limit. I paid the ticket, but Im guessing it took a day or two for everything to catch up. Anyways, a year and a half later, I go in to change my address on my license, and they tell me its been suspended for a year and a half. The reason why I wasnt informed is cause I paid the fine in time but it took 2 or 3 days for it to register in the system. By that time I was over my limit and had to pay for reinstatement of my license. Shocked as hell, especially since I bought 2 new vehicles in that time frame, and noone mentioned it. I even renewed plates and everything. I thought it was pretty strange. My bad on my part for waiting so long.. but geez.

 

lol thats crazy... you would think in situations like that they would maybe notify you eh... o and by the way everything went good today and i was rippin around enjoyin my tunes... so stoked lol

so heres an update to an old thread... i got my lisence back.. drove for two weeks, got pulled over while driving for a buddy who was drinking, pulled over for a burnt out headlight.. anyways all is well im sober and give the cops my lisence.. they come back and tell me im under arrest for driving while disqualified!!!!! so i had to go to jail for a week until i got into the court room and made a $700 bail!!

i then wait out the rest of my time and im then told i have to do a $1000 responsible driving course! by the time you get into the course and get it done they tell you "nah,wait 6 more months!"
that is why ive been out of the car audio scene and away from this site... now im back and today i just finally got my lisence back!!

just got it back today from a charge that happened june 28th, 2004 and didnt even get to court until july of 2007!!!

gotta love icbc and the court system!

 

are you friends with the guy with james's old crx who had his rex impounded a day before finals last year did he get the car back ?

If you got your license back why did the police say you were disqualified?

 

it was in court that my lisence was taken away... when i went to icbc almost a year later to see what i was going to owe when it was time to get it back they told me it was never suspended.. explained how it was and they said they had nothing on the computer saying anything like that... i then went to the court registry and asked them and what they told me is that icbc is the boss of my lisence.. they have the power to over rule what the court says and that if they say i can have a lisence then i can... i didnt know any better... bounced back and forth to make sure everything seemed good.. turns out there was some paperwork in the court house that was never submitted to icbc..
