it may even be earlier. There have been many request for assistance. Soundstream is going to look everything over and let the team members know.
i wonder how many guys think they are special and asked you for free equipment and/or to pay all their travelin expenses along with show entry fees?
Richard can you post the number of requests for free stuff or paid expensses that you have had so far. i wanna know how many people believe that they are special.

I have heard what soundstream does for sponsorships now....ie: you buy product, soundstream gives you discount. you install product, soundstream gives you further discount. you prove wins, soundstream gives you further discount....all in all usually works out to 50% of original pricing. You can already get this deal from ALOT of companies, and you can be a nobody, with no background, to do it.
A good company is a company who has products for which there are no clearly better competitor product. An example would be Digital Design.

hahhahahahaah, no surprize. everyone thinks they are special but if you were to ask him/her how they are better than the next 10 people who also think they are special and also asked for free gear, they wont have an answer, mainly due to the fact that they arent really better.

question is.........any GOOD companies offer this??? I have never came across a single company who's product was worth running that would give 50% discount on their gear to a nobody with no background. If you are talking about Clarion or Kenwood, then fine. But I've never seen a good company offer this type of a deal to anyone.

atomic, for one, offers it.....you buy equipment, they'll match it up to $5000. norm had mentioned it to me last season.
I know atomic does this.
atomic did try to sell me their $650 APXX 10's for $300 bux back in 2007. I had to turn them down cuz i'd spend more time reconin the subs than actually using them.
like i said, good companies. if you think atomic is good and there are no clearly better competitor products i wish you all the luck running atomic and reconning it every other day.

Whats wrong with the atomic amps sure they are not quite as loud as a few of the others out there however, they are right near the top. What was the recone price like from atomic? (with whatever deal\sponsorship\competitor pricing they would give you)
Deitz, if you are seriouse about competing you'd much rather spend your time testing than making recones, even if they are free. I had this problem with atomic in 2007. Trust me, if you want to win you dont want to run an inferior product. Not only talkin about atomic but any other brand. If you want to win, simply look what brand loud guys are running and how frequent its used in the category you are building for. I've also come to learn that consistency amongst a product line is more important than being the loudest. But when you have both (consistancy and loudness) that indicates the superiority of a product.
