Wow, being that International Stereo is so incredibly organized, they only took a month to release the results of summer thunder. I was glad to find out I won 201-400 SQ, but still confused why I got a little tin peice that reads "Best Install 500+" Which isan't even a catagoery, let alone mine. I would still go next year just if I'm not busy.

Also, any of you guys not make it out of that show without being tricked/brainwashed into purchasing Nuance Speakers from the "Nuance Rep" that was just their for that one day? I tried telling them I already had Energy speakers but I was informed that Nuance are better because they can plug into the wall.

 

Hey bootlegguy! thanks for posting the summer thunder from edmonton. Finally!!!LOL. Wonder what took them sooo long. Anyways i'm sure happy to see my husbands name on there. I"m sure he'll be happy to see it also. well thanks once again.

 

I was in Edmonton a couple weeks back and went to the Int'l Stereo in WEM specifically so they could hit on me for the Nuance demo [img]tongue.gif[/img] I knew the scam but never experienced it so I played along. It was humorous to say the least. I should really make a post about it.....

 

Cool I got 4th place in 201-400.

What a joke that place was. Never again.

The nuance demos are halarious. I have never done one myself, but friends have. At the WEM itnl stereo, the day of the first Slayer concert to be exact this buddy of mine walks in, starts talking, asks for a demo, but he basically tells them to set up the biggest speakers and amp and run them full blast. The salesman chases him into the mall, rips off his own shirt, and wants to fight him. "Let's go".
I don't know how much longer he was employed there.

Last time I was in one I was standing in front of one of the Car Audio boards, and they tried to sign us up for their credit card, we were just lookin', and were told we would get a free competion car stereo if you purchased the baby crap whatever speakers.
It's entertaining to go in there.
