Next time, tell him to go f#*k himself and then move your car. I personally think there was no reason for this guy to react the way he did, what a f*#kin loser !!!!!. Silver neon, right ?< what a jack off !

I'm not like that though. I politely offered to move my vehicle, and left it at that, it just left an uneasy feeling the rest of the short time I was there, like I was an outsider looking in.

Like killer klown "said, don't take it to heart". Some people get a few wins under their belt and think they own the show, Its to bad u had to experience something like this at your first show. Make no wonder noob's think twice about competing !!!!!!!!

My first experience with a competition, and possibly my last. Needless to say, I didn't realize there were "reserved" parking spaces, until someone in a silver Dodge Neon took a hissy fit that I parked in his spot.

The swearing and cry baby attitude in front of my 7 year old son was greatly appreciated.

So, there's a whole thread on CCA about finding it difficult for "new blood" to join competitions and to visit these events, when a new comer that was simply parking where there was available space, has to move their vehicle to make way, I was no longer comfortable sticking around.
I feel the same way as you not welcome..

Sorry u guys feel that way but I'm not sure how to make someone feel welcome when they don't come introduce themselves to anyone or stick around to meet people. I don't recall u coming up and chatting with me. Next time just come up and introduce ur self. I'm sorry your feelings got hurt but even I deal with stupidness at every show. If I left when someone bothered me every show in the east wouls end after the first 5 mins.

Normally I'd take a bit of time to watch, see how things work and people's cars, especially with being first time at an event like this. Sorry, it usually takes me 5-10 minutes before I start chatting it up with people. Since the parking issue occured right off the bat, it threw off my enthuisiasm to start chatting. I think I'd have ended up talking shop with you guys, and even entering (which would also have been a first for me) if the start of my arrival didn't go sour.

I couldnt make it out I was actually building my box that night and didnt get it finished in time. If i would have had more time i would have at least came out to hang out.
The first event i ever went to wasnt bad at all, but i very much felt out-of-place. Funny thing is i only felt "out of place" because i didnt make the effort to walk around and talk to people. Too bad too because i could have gotten to know alot of people from the forums and could have learned ALOT. The second event i went to was AWESOME! All i did differently was walk around and talk to people (even if they just simply didnt look like they wanted to be talked to) and every single person i talked to was more than happy to share some info and demo their cars for me. I love checkin out other people's systems, even if they are nothing special. Mine is nothing special, but i still like to enter just to see wut kinda scores i am getting. I am not competitive in any way, but i love watching the others compete. The bashing and trash talk makes it even more interesting. Although i havent seen much of it at events (other than sarcasm). Just on the forums. lol
Now that i finally have my system in i plan to go to more events. I feel bad that i havent been to a single event in over a year. I guess i was just tryin to get sometihng that sounded at least remotely decent before i came back out, and finances werent there.
Nagamitsu and Tip Me, if you ever plan to go to another event in this area just let me know and i will join ya. I usually bring a few other people with their cars just for kicks. It's usually better when you bring a few friends cause it makes it easier to go around and talk to people. hehe
If ya ever just wanna get together and play with the systems just for kicks, im always up for that too.

Just suck it up and come back out. You parked beside the red rex right? Don't take the guy with the silver neon too much. Believe it or not he is probably one of the most nicest guys in db drag. Another buddy, come early in order to see who parks where. Unfortunately this is a rule that is not written down. Some guys will come 1 or 2 hours earlier just to get a good spot. Just come out and have fun. If no one talks to you then just ask anyone where jonesbrooklyn aka dj is and I'll chat with you and introduc you around.

To find me just look for the clueless guy with the maroon 95 Toyota Tercel, with a not-loud system. Oh, and pretty good chance i will be holding pizza in my hands....never fails
