I thought I would post this here as well. This has been on the Eastern thread for a few days.
Ok everyone here is the low down on all the questions I have been receiving for these events.
1. EVERYONE IS Able to attend both these shows and compete in all the formats.
However u cannot win the CDN championships unless u have met the minimum
requirements to qualify for that right. However u can win the EAST and WEST
Championships!!!!! Here is a scenario for all of u.
Lets Say u enter the WEST SQC part of the show and u took second place but because the competitor who beat you did not meet the min requirements you will be the high score from the WEST and that have a chance a winning the CDN Championships.
So basically u took second in the WESTERN CDN CHAMPIONSHIPS and yet still have a shot at the over CDN Title. The person with the highest score and met the requirements will be crowned the champ.
1A. To qualify for these shows you must attend at least two shows within 250 Km from your home address. YOU NOT HAVE TO WIN AT THESE SHOWS YOU JUST HAVE TO BE THERE!!!! If u live far away or there are no events in your area you can apply for a invite by writing to me or Dave from . All Dave and I are trying to do by having these shows is to make the CDN competition scene more fun and more challenging by having something all CDN's can aim for, and that is the Championships. In return we would like to see an attempt by all competitors to get there vehicles in the lanes and help support the industry and local retailers. As long as we see an attempt from each and everyone of u, it should be no problem obtaining the privilege to compete for the CDN championships.
2. The same judges are going to be used at both events for SQC only. Your class will have the same set of ears judging your cars so all the scores will be on a level playing field.
3. There are 3 classes for SQC. rookie, 1 seat, and 2 seat SQ. There are no install scores for SQC.
4. Awards will be given out to in each class at each event. Once all the scores are in after judging both shows the CDN champ will be announced and they to will receive the CDN Championship award.
5. All these same rules apply to IDBL! Person with the Best overall score and the person who met the requirements will win the CDN Championships.
