on the earlier note about adding comps to existing cars shows I can suggest one that may be up for it, performance world (started out as a little show that has constantly evolved and grown and I find is the best show of the year. I would be surprised if they didn't let you get involved.

 

Come on guys lets stop beating a dead horse.
Let Rich run his shows and just kick back and get loud no stress !
He's got the hook ups for give aways.
So many shows last year most people don't go to them .
I went to maybe 2 all year and did not compete just boring shows everyone talking about how their show was the best put out a wack load of money and no one showed up .
Stop the flood of shows it does not help
We have someone dumb enought to run them for us all over ontario
So let support him and call it a day.
Trust me that will work better in the long run.
put all the macho man stuff aside he puts on great shows !!!!
Now lets hear everyone tell me how they can make a better show and when it fails its the competitors faut not theirs

wow Yuli you always seem so upset about competitors lol. i will say i actually did want to come to that show in december but some "unexpected circumstances" came about, so it would have been 21, but i missed it. as for what i as a newbie might want to see at shows would be a street battle where two cars play music and the crowd judges based on sound and song selection. back home we do like that all the time and thats really just for kicks and bragging rights

performance world had THE best car audio competition in Canada period........up until 2004. After that they said FUKK YOU AND FUKK OFF to the stereo comp part and never looked back since. Their reasoning was that they could use the space to make more money off the ricers and vendors. I guess they did make more money cuz they had never done another stereo comp and everytime they were approached about it they said.......yah, you guess it, FUKK YOU AND FUKK OFF. I was one of the few lucky guys who had the chance to compete at this event when it was still on. Best SPL comp ever, 60+ competitors.

Frank... I think you need to "smartin up"....

RW does a great job at putting on shows, I can't deny that, but to say he should be the only one to put them on is ridiculous.

Further to that - he did not put them on ALL over Ontario. He did nothing east of the GTA as far as I know. (although there were plans for 1 show)

If a promoter really wants to make a splash then they really DO need to out a bit more.

Look at Bill & Erie. They've come from Buffalo up to Ottawa or even down to New Hampshire. They don't just stick in Western NY.

I'm not going to get on my "you guys never leave the GTA" rant again so I'll just stop there and agree with Yuli.

If you want competing to work then competitors need to make it happen by doing a bit of driving. It's useless to ONLY go to shows in the GTA because then you'll lose competitors all over the province... and, whether you like it or not, it WILL affect shows in the GTA.

 

Jordy your absolutly right, we want to try to go from windsor to ottawa. If theres a need for us we want to be there to satisfy that need. We dont plan on sticking to just the gta, to even try to do that is silly. Rich is a good friend of mine and working with him is something i look forward to again. I hope he will take advantage of us during his season. We will be working all season getting together a nice rig.
