paying for good product is fine but b.s.for double but i do believe that distributors should make a profit but not make thier dealers pay full retail price as cost to carry product then trying to sell to customers with no room to move it.

I was offered a deal with them but im glad i didnt go for it as i would of lost huge

As for competitor support I didn't receive any from DD nor did they even offer me the line to carry.

Most guys that know me know that I support them as a competitor and offer special pricing for guys around the area. Im just a dealer only and not a distributor . But i do have something in mind in September for all of us and it wont be DD

I am totally the opposite. Aside from whatever the issue is behind the scenes that people can only speculate about (and therefor know nothing about), we should just keep our speculations to ourselves. On the business side, I have had nothing but 110% support from Modz right up until the day the phone was no longer answered. As far as pricing goes, I have found Modz pricing to have a far less markup than I thought. I now can purchase direct and while the savings are going to be there, so is the shipping prices, brokerage fees, $ conversion etc. and at the end of the day I am looking at about a 10% savings, that is it, that is all. Is that 10% savings worth it to provide support for warranty to my end customer from a CDN perspective (way quicker to warranty), is it worth it to have someone else do all the brokerage crapola that has to be done, hells yeah.

To whomever thinks it was 50%, I don't know where you came up with that figure, if it was out of thin air, leave it there. My price list thus far does not reflect this at all. This speculation of yours is exactly how the customer or user here on this site continually thinks they are getting the shaft. Now if you want to share with me (on a level that the average user cannot have access to - the Black Void for example), I am all for that. If you as a dealer are indeed saving 40% over my business, I need to know about it as it does not paing a pretty picture at all for DD and their business. If you have hard proof to share, please do otherwise all that has been done is fuel the fire to the users of this site based on faulty or inaccurate information.

Factual information, take one look at JL Audio and you have factual information. DD, based on what I have been given thus far, your information is totally inaccurate.

Rob.... From this message it almost sounds like you were calling me out. You know very well that my info is not speculation. I've seen the price sheets, I've brought the product in and paid for taxes/duty/shipping. I also know how/why their pricing structure was the way it was.

It's not stuff I would ever post in the void because distributor pricing is not something that all dealers need to know. All I can say is that just because you're seeing a dealer price sheet from DD doesn't mean that Modz was paying that amount

Guess it's different for everyone. hmm nothing but bad luck for us. i know that there was a few people on here that had bad results form them as well.

For us.... waiting on 2 amps from modz for over 6 months is very crappy, even when we bought our amps they told us a different tune. never again will i let myself in that situation.
