whoa boys, Paul member count to 10 he is young... Luke telling Paul anything about this industry is like Jorden Eberly of the Oilers telling MR. Wayne Gretzky how to score goals.. to some this is a lifestyle.. hell Paul and I have been doing this since 1989 tell me this is a hobbie for us!! and its not up to the stores to nurture our passion, its about the industry as a whole. I have seen this hobbie go from shows with over 200 cars and 10 vendors showing up with demo cars, tents, swag ect. to almost no show anywhere in Canada, back up to its heyday a couple of yrs ago with lots of iasca and usaci.. Now we are slowly going the wrong way again. Not due to anything other than lack of shows, but i will be hard pressed to hit 10 this yr!! the shops have to be willing to hold shows, knowing they are going to get support from there suppliers, the suppliers wont help unless it fattens there bottom line which means, simple selling more product. that means more cars showing up. See the vicious circle. few cars show up, no dealer support, and the only one out of pocket is the shop.. so to hell with the industry.. i am not going to host any shows and lose money.. another problem is the internet. when i started doing these shows. i would see wicked cars decked out with kick butt stuff that i must have.. where do i buy it, well at the shop that hosted the show.. not now.. i see the 4000watt dd. amp for $3500.00 gag at the price, go online and find a soundstream xxx5000 for 2000bucks and buy it there. the loss of sales due to the internet is one of the biggest setbacks as far as iam concerned. it dosent benefit the host shop, or the manufactures.. Hell i could rant all day on this topic alone but suffice it to say, the industry as a whole must change to get this hobbie firing again on all 8 cylenders. I will be at as many shows as i can but i also due have almost 100 shows under my belt so far..

I totally agree randy im young , but at the same time im investing thousands of dollors into raffles and shows trying to get things going again , when i see 3 shows total for an entire province that upsets me , ive worked extremelly hard to help out vendors or hosts with prizes and swagg this year invested prizes for ppl who actually come out to shows as all i want is more shows im prepared to invest money into shows and help shops with the costs of shows , i know pauls been around a long time and i resepct what he has done , but the way he acts towords me doesnt sit well with me ive never seen him a a show nor herd him say anything nice about me for that matter so of course im going to stand up for myself and as don stated everyone needs to work together to get more shows which is kinda why ive donated thousands this year in prizes

Why do you keep saying that you spent so much money donating prizes more than once in this thread? Are you looking for some recognition? Go work on your car and get it loud then you'll get some recognition. Better yet, someone out west please say thank you luke for donating all those thousands of dollars worth of prizes before he says it again.

everyone who posts on here MUST compete at one show this yr.. done!!! put up or shut up.. this is a forum to promote our hobbie. either you are promoting or lurking and i hate lurkers... Luke supports by showing up, Paul supports by tech support, moderating and promoting through media channels, Will promotes by being so damn good looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol we all can be apart of the problem or we all can find a solution to the issues. Man up boys. ***** on the table. either play or get the hell off these web sites!
