I think what will kill the sport is the negativity in general. Guys that put on shows I think if theses guys get to gether and host killer shows rather than compete for the competetors.
ex. LCS3 killer show in 2007 why because you had 3 main groups come together along with a car show which I saw some of the show and shine guys try the spl and like it.
You need to add stuff to the show like in 2008 Team All Tech show it was just a show for the fun of the sport and the turn out was insaine Adam had a class where components where only allowed to be used.
When advertiseing a show mention the street stock classes like crazy so the guys that have cars that would be in theses classes know they would not be up against the loud guys and if your one of the guys that are there for the points to go to finals hand off the trophy to the guy that doesent always get it not like you need another one.
In the end we the vets need to let guys know they don't need a panda or a rex to be loud at reginal shows world stage diffrent story but then again take my neon for example.

maybe i was misunderstood, the way i read my own thread it didn't read like i wanted it to my 3000 watt suggestion was just an idea to make the sport wake up again. i don't care either way. but i myself will not be doing db drag anymore. mostly because i cannot afford to get louder, but mostly because i don't want a system i can't listen to on a daily basis. i will still come out for bass race a cspl. cspl is more fair with their wattage catagory's. but like i said personally i believe the only way to get people to come to shows and keep returning is to make sure there is a street stock class with a trophy at every show OR make street a and b 3000 watts or less. that's what will make or break this sport. personal opinion. P.S. yuli is totally right everyone wants to win the first time they come out. who doesn't?

[QUOTE=John
who can drive around with an extra THOUSAND pounds in equipment on a daily basis?
John[/QUOTE]
I do......And I love it!
But as far as comp....I am done!I want to buy a boat.
I always had fun at comps,But the last year or two.Just not the same.
I would like to see the BIG shows continue but as far as driving 3 hrs for a 15 car show..Not worth it.

SPL and car audio competition in general has fewer people showing and entering. I think one reason is that people are too secretive about what they are doing and how they are doing it. Too many guys are afraid that someone will beat them at the next show if they help a guy out. SQ is the same in may respects. Many of the big dogs like to hide everything or many things about their install. Shows need to be more welcoming to new people. To often will you get one or two ****** as a show that trash a guy because he isn't using what they consider to be the best gear. It's pretty sad really. This is not to say all competitors are like that, but I think too many are.
