2006 Mustang Alarm Q's

Hi all,

Just bought a 2006 Mustang last week and it has a factory starter disable but no alarm so I wanted to get one installed, is there anything that I should be worried about when getting this done due to the starter disable? Also, can I use the factory remotes with an aftermarket system? Can anyone recommend a good shop in the GTA for this?

Thanks

Nothing to really worry about. I did an 05 last weekend with the full factory alarm, I'm pretty sure they are the same.

Can you use factory remote to control an aftermarket alarm system? Short answer, no.

You use aftermarket remotes to control factory door locks, trunk release, factory alarm ect though.

A few fun little notes about this car:

-You can get the majority of your wires, including ign wires at the SJB in the passenger kick.

-Door pins REST at ground with the doors closed. Opposite of almost every other car out there.... That's a bit more work for the installer
