Keyless alarm system for 2011 Corolla S ?
Background: I'm a senior and former electronics R&D technician, in the Denver area.
We just got this car and need a keyless alarm system for it. ( Nothing fancy, like two way or emote start. I have a remote start system in my old 2002 Civic and it kept turning on, just being in my pocket, which was VERY annoying.
I found that Best Buy has a Viper for $250, including install, but this is WAY more complicated by the virus terror panic. The store here doesn't have any installers now. I tried the store a few miles south of them, and no one picks up the sales phone. Quality Auto Sound quoted me - for a system I'd still have to pick out, plus installing the new front & rear dash cams that I bought, and our used Garmin ( DC power-only, to these ) - $800! Whoa! Cannot do!
But I did manage to find a few reputable installers - one of whom can sell a system too, and two of whom can just install if I buy one. Those would just charge me hourly, which sounds good.
So I'm looking, but not finding much on Amazon for this, for the decent quality names that one of them gave me, for this car: Viper, Compustar, Evolabs, First tech and direct Tech?
SO do any of you know something decent, that works with this 2011 Corolla S, and where I can actually find one at a reputable seller, for a good price?
Thanks!
