ok if it cranks and doesn't start sounds like there is a fuel problem, maybe your fuel pump or possibly your fuel filter this is not a remote starter problem, it would be a remote starter problem if your security light started to flash upon crank. Key off and power windows still work there is a problem for sure. Thats as far as I can help you out without physically seeing the vehicle

 

plenty of fuel. I can smell it. Last time it did it when it started the extra fuel burned blackish. Then ran for over a week til my daughter used it last night and pressed the lock button on FOB

The security Light does come on when ignition is first turned on, but goes out and does not flash when cranking.


Is it possible to disconect the unit and manually start with key only?

 

well if it cranks but does not fire and you smell fuel, maybe its your fuel pump get a hammer and rap on the fuel tank then try to start it

 

if you unplugged the 6 pin harness from the remote starter there is no power going to it. The vehicle should start

Strange question. Have you tried just pressing the unlock button on the aftermarket fob and then tried starting?

Am going to cut it out tmrw and rehook up the starter wire. Found some info omline to help.

Well I managed to get the thing running again. Turns out it was not the polar remote starter after all. It was the vans security system. Seems that if you lock the doors with the key FOB it activated the security, thats what my daughter did, and if you use the key only the security won't allow the van to start.

Solution: turn the key to the on position and leave it for 5 - 10 minutes. turn key to start and it will start....sweeeet. it worked so simple, if you know. Thanks for everyones help.
