Problems with compustar alarm installed at Visions

had the same problem with my new Zenesis install. after about 20 min the alarm would go off and the remote would show that a door was opened when it was not.. tried two diff bypass modules with no luck. i read in another forum that the possible cause was the bcm (body control module..aka..computer) going to sleep and this sends a pulse to the bypass module which interprets this signal as a door open. thus triggering the alarm.. the cure for me was to run wires direct to the door pins. i did not know it was possible to fix this so simply with a diode!

At this point it now a total inconvenience to you. Now at the same time if I had you coming back with a issue like this, to me it would a indication that there is something that we have not come across before or that there is a unique issue with the vehicle or install. They need to either remove the unit entirely and start from scratch with tech support and find the issue or remove the unit, refund you and you can start again elsewhere.
We just had a beyotch of a time with a 08 Ford Mustang and a manual transmission. In this case it was a unique situation that we had not seen before. It took us time and the customer was well informed at every step of the way as to the things we were going to try and whom we were in contact with about it. We solved the problem. I ended up losing $ on the job due to the time spent by my installer but now it is something else that my installer now knows for next time. That will end up saving me $. End result, customer happy, installer got dropped a 15 pack of Coors Light by the customer and I lost $. I am still happy though. Give the guys a chance to properly work through the problem. If they are not able to, then look for a full refund.

Its been about a week and since the last time (4th time) the alarm seems to be working just fine.
The installer did the following:
1st time - turned down the shock sensor
2nd time - replaced diodes & told me it was the factory door pins
3rd time - installed relays to door triggers
4th time - moved the hood pin
Bottom line the alarm works but dealing with visions was brutal.
Sales people were slimy.
General manager of the store was super slimy with bad breath.
Installer was a ***** that wouldn't spend the time to properly look at the alarm the first time or explain what was going on to me. **so if you read this, try harder on the next one!
The saying you get what you pay for isn't always true when you pay good money for the product and service but the service is absolutely horrendous.

I know that when rain pisses down outside, sometimes my hood pin gets wet and triggers a false alarm....
I still haven't fixed my door trigger going off for nothing every 30 minutes on the minute. I intalled the diodes properly. It registers properly, just will go off, whenever my "sleep" mode starts. So I just turned off door montioring and use my proximity sensors. As soon as any door opens, the prox sensors catch the movement and triggers the alarm.
