Problems with Viper after battery died???

Recently I installed a viper 5901 security system on my 2000 Subaru Impreza. I got it all hooked up and everything was working fine, but after the car sat for awhile the battery died. I jump started the car and now the alarm system is all messed up. The arming and disarming still work fine, but when I disconnected the positive on the battery and reconnect it the doors unlock. Also when I hit the unlock button the locks do nothing however if a manually lock the doors and hit the lock button the doors unlock(both on the fob and the switch on the car itself). If I disconnect the 2 wires from the system that control the locking and unlocking of the doors then the switch on the car works fine so I know its a problem with the system and not the car. I talked to directed electronics they were no help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the door lock output on the brain is gone haywire, always pull the 12 volt constant fuse on the alarm before jump starting a vehicle.

Is there anyway to fix it or do I need to find a new brain for it?

Replace the brain, unless you know someone in the repair field that can get replacement parts internally for your viper unit.

Alright, thanks for the help. Do you know where I can buy just the brain?

Check audio shops in your area and see if they are a viper dealer, I highly doubt you'll be able to buy just a brain.
