I shaved everything except the lock on the passenger side. that way I can get in with a dead battery without the need for an emergancy popper. because I don't want everybody having access to the inside of my truck.

As far as getting locked out with a dead battery, just make sure you have a power point you can get to from the outside to supply power to your doors if that should happen. Not that big of a deal seeing as you are likely going to have to boost the car anyways.

The only other failures you could have are a dead solenoid, relay, wiring problem or dead batteries in the remote. As long as you think about what you are doing when you install it you will be problem free.

Don't do it if you are planning on driving it in the winter, it will be a bitch to open a frozen door without a handle to pull on.

Oh ya that project erase site did answer your legality question, click on the MODS tab and you will see that it is legal.

Any more questions feel free to message me.

Ask any emergency response worker what happens in emergency situations when things aren't where you'd expect them to be...those precious seconds are enough to cause some sserious problems...to the person trapped inside. Laugh away...hahahaha...while your skin crisps!

maybe a custom built in smoke/fire detector that automaticly pops open the doors
or unlocks them at least
