Starter/Alarm combos??????
#1
Hey guys I live in Edmonton and I need some help.I've been thinking about buying a security system for my car but I'm torn between two things. Starter/Alarm combo's or just alarm. I want top security for my car but will the combo's give the same security as the (just) alarm.
The main thing I'm sorta getting at is #1. For the price are the combo's worth it. #2 Are the combo's more prone to theft due to the transponder key need for the starter. #3. Which brand in Edmonton would be my best brand to install. Compustar?
Please help me guys I have to get it in soon before starter season starts.
thax guys for your help, any info is kool.

Hey
What ever you do don't buy a Code Alarm/starter combo. I've had mine (7600) for a year and it has been back for warranty repair 2 times plus the range sucks, I only get around 60 feet. I've heard the Viper to be good and some of the Crimestopper units as well but I'm not sure which ones they were.
