dont you guys think all of that are useless?
if the thieves cannot take your system, then they will be angry and smash your car?

My insurance will always cover that sort of damage, whereas it will not cover my gear unless I buy extremely expensive extra coverage.

Plus, most thieves are realitively smart in their own way. For the most part they are looking for easy scores. Yes, there are some good ones, and you can never stop a truly dedicated thief with enough time, but making your gear hard to get makes it more likely that they hit up some other guy that's done notihng to discourage them.

My thoughts extactly. Very hard to stop an smart thief. I guess the best way is to think like 1 and slow them down. Either make you "system" look like nothing, or an armed guard at all times. If they want my system they can have it. Ya I'll be pissed but hey I'm alive and healthy.

Personaly I do 99% of my own work in the garage. One off's so to speak. Very personal at private . An alarm dosn't stop an thief just either slow them down or the blinking light say hey look at me I have somthing! The garage is used in my life very much. It's has it's own alarm too!

I personaly don't like the idea of the razor or the sprays. I'm not out to hurt my fellow man, no mater what they do. There actions are there problem. Doen't give me the right to do wrong to them. Yes I know in the heat of the moment and such.

From the experience of my friends who had things stolen. If theives go through the trouble of breaking into a car they will stop at nothing to get whatever they came for. If something is secured very well they will either smash things until they can get the gear out or just destroy the gear so that if they can't have it, neither can you.

I say just don't bump where you live, don't bump where you park, don't bump where you work. Don't brag to strangers about your install. Decals = steal me. Disable the trunk release from the inside so that it can only be opened with the key. Get a good alarm and spend the time or money on a good, solid install so that it can't be disabled easily.

Don't be such a weeny

If I caught someone breaking into my car I just might do something illigal on top of that...

You can buy .5% capcium pepper spray at almost any gun store in ontario.. for use agianst dogs... if you used it in self defence, you probably wouldn't get charged...

If someone got blasted while breaking into your car and stumbled out into traffic and got hit... you might be in a lil trouble...
Its still considered a concealed weapon So getting caught with it before using it would suck lol Im all for the idea of reaping some revenge or what not on someone tryin to steal gear I was wondering if it was just mase specifically or pepper spray thats illegal. My dad has pepper spray but its legal for him as long as he's in his work uniform. But I imagine on the can with that case it states for use on animals.

I suppose it would be easier to fight off in court if it got to that over shooting some guy in the leg versus pepper spraying them. But in the end it may come down to your possession of the weapon ontop of him getting charged for trying to steal ur stuff and/or what not.
