banning people for asking questions now?

What the hell is going on in cca?
Someone ask's a simple question such as " where is the show again?" and gets a 1 week ban for it.
The admins on this site are abusing their power to the point now where they have to ban cripples for asking questions and stating their opinions and offering advice.
That is all.

Then please do explain...
I was banned for saying "you should try ultimate" and all i was doing was trying to point someone in the direction of a good deal on amps....sold on here by one of the site's good sellers.

Shot first ask questions later . . . lets blame the mods for everything, without asking if there is a reason for what they are doing. There is likely more to the ban than the information widely known -

Also, the mods can do whatever they want to with their power. This website is not a public domain, but owned and operated privately. We are all visitors, and therefore must respect the authority of the mods as appointed overseers of the webpage.

Think about this page in terms of real estate. I own my house and property and if someone comes along, I have the right to kick him off my property regardless if I am being fair or not. That is my free prerogative as the owner. I might not make friends in my neighbourhood if I take that approach, but it still is my prerogative as the owner of the property. The same goes with a web forum. It might not always be popular or even the right thing to ban a person, but that's the choice of the mods to be a good or bad neighbour.

Personally, I think the mods have been doing an excellent job. Unfortunately there are too many people who try and squeeze their way around the site rules, and then complain when they get caught.

My $0.02. Lynch me if you wish.

That sums up 99% of the problems that happen around here

People get answers, and then continue to press for, well, i'm not sure what for.

The best part is, he REQUESTED to be banned. Now he has been banned.

Anyhow, we have said there was a change coming, if people cant wait and continue to "stir the pot", mods and admins will act accordingly..even if that means temp banning or perm banning people.

Are you ****ing serious? I mean really?

Let me type this nice and slow for all you trolls:

IF YOU WANT TO ANNOUNCE A SHOW USE THE EVENT CALENDAR. IT'S FREE!!

Currently the rules about THREADS on shows are under review. Nobody has ever been banned for accidentally posting a show thread - it is always much more than that..

^^I'm with this statement^^ and understand it. Our mods unfortunetly have a yucky job when it comes to this. They do what they do. Yet it's give me a chuckle because the car audio events have rules to go by and we push the "grey" area's or atempt to "squeeze" arond them to be better sounding or louder. I guess thats just life.

I used to moderate a high traffic (not quite the size of this one but close) forum and even with the clearest rules posted that even todlers can understand, the job isn't easy.

Keep fighting the good fight and stay bitter free as long as possible.

oh and the power over others isn't half bad either
