Limiting Avatar Size

i thought they were limited.. they automaticalluy resize.they all show up small here.. no 1600x1200 avatars on my end.. the file may be 1600x1200, but it only shows up teeny [img]smile.gif[/img]

His avatar does seem to be larger then some peoples

limiting it to 50x50 is common on most sites

i'm pretty sure it's 100x100 here [img]smile.gif[/img] much better than thoose teeny 50x50 ones [img]smile.gif[/img]

It is 100x100, but when someone links to a large image, your browser still needs to load the whole file.

There's no way to force a smaller size when someone enters it into their profile - it's generally just common courtesy to resize the file because the html will limit it's size to 100x100.
