Newbie search question

Oh boy, first time I've had trouble with this sort of thing.
When entering 2 or more keywords in a search, sorry, I can't see how to restrict the result to posts with ALL the search times (ie. AND vs OR). Even in the advanced search.

Obviously it must be able to do this or of course the search would be of extremely limited usefulness.

Thanks for any help. Not sure how I'm missing this. No doubt I'll kick myself when it's pointed out.

I found out that instead of using words such as AND/OR use a comma between keywords. Sometimes that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Comma must be the OR function (which is what I get without any kind of punctuation). Any idea what the AND is? For example, say I want to search for anything to do with Alpine decks that have USB? What do I input to search for posts that have both 'Alpine' and 'USB'?
Thanks.

Try using the + for 'and'.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. Unfortunately + doesn't work either. Alpine+USB works like OR. If it were AND, a search, for example, for 'Alpine+snorkelgorf' would result in finding no posts. (Hopefully, since I just made up 'snorkelgorf' and it doesn't hit anything on its own.)
