kinda agree....unless you're installing it yourself, i doubt you'd save any money buying online. Otherwise i assume a shop would near rape you to install the alarm for ya, definitely not the price you'd pay if you bought it for them.

Makes more sense to add Door Lock Defenders, than a back-up siren. Back-ups are "post-entry" protection. Door Lock Defenders are pre-entry.
Once they break in, you have a claim and deductible to pay anyways. Why not spend on preventing them getting in, in the first place?
And yes, a good install and reliable product is the only way to go. An alarm only has to work once! to pay for itself... it only has to fail once to be a waste of money.

Thanks guys for the info.I install these things all the time,(formerly Security/Cellular Specialist at prominant company....my username is a hint), and right now I have a hi-end system in place with more protection than I care to get into.
The reason for shopping for a lo-end system is purely for modification and to intergrate it into an existing factory/aftermarket project I'm working on.
Thanks for the response!!!
P.S. By the way,the sticker on my doors read:
"Smile for the cameras!!!"
