Can a MOD pin a post so it stays at the top of the forum messages?
I was just thinking about it because a lot of people ask about wiring stuff in "Install Related" and a lot of that stuff can be answered on that wiring page on the12volt.com
That's all ...

Sounds good!
Based on many of the threads that I have seen these might be helpful topics:
- in depth explanation of impedance, series and parallel wiring, bridging and amp stability.
- power wire+fuse size
- quick link to winISD or other free box-building program.
- and much more. . .

We should have both a Pinned post and a FAQ page since they are different. A Pinned post can be an important info about somthing for a short period of time. For example if an event is cancelled then it can be pin posted so every one going into that category can see it at the top of the board. FAQ page is somthing like a directory which people will go if they want some technical explanations.
What im saying is FAQ page and Pinned Post are two different things. We need Pinned post for sure up in here.
The link I have given you has good usage of pinned post and other such things, which I think would make this site more user friendly.

"sticky" threads have been added to the latest version of this software. Updating that is easy.
However, as soon as the update is applied, all the custom features I've added (ex: the install images) are lost and have to be re-added. Due to continued code upgrades on the part of the vendor, this is not always a simple task.

Actually I kinda like things the way they are. The idea of pinned posts and a FAQ page becomes to impersonal for me and would honestly turn me off the whole idea of spending time on the forum. People get smarter by asking questions and some of us enjoy answering (or trying too) them.
I would suggest that those who do not like to see the same topic over and over again just skip those posts, it is really that easy.Lets face it there is only so much to car audio and if wasn't repeated every so often it would become pretty dead around here.
Remember, these are only my opinions and thoughts on the subject and I am not trying to ignroant about it.
Thanks
