PM box...
Just wondering why it was cut down to 25 messages? Is it a space issue?
Granted, I could just export them, but that is a PITA, and not nearly as handy as having them in my PM box.
lol

You have 93 messages stored, of a total 25 allowed.

So, donators will have a few options, but the end result will be ads free surfing. More will be posted about it in the future.

Dear Members,
Over the past year CanadianCarAudio.com has grown to be the largest Canadian Audio forum of its kind. We have gone from around 3000 members to 7300. This is a good sign however it has brought some unforeseen expenses such as increased server costs and technical consultancies. To be honest the monthly server bills are $450 in U.S. funds, so around $560 Cdn. The server company does not take Canadian Tire money, believe me I already tried. If you think you can host a forum this size on a $9.95 account all the power to you, but we have one of those as well and it is not performing.
To offset some costs we have come up with a revised private message system. Before this upgrade regular users had 50 available private messages to be sent or received, which means the total amount of incoming and outgoing messages had to equal 50 or less.
With the revised system the total number of private messages have been reduced to 25, which means you can have a total of 25 mixed incoming and outgoing messages in your inbox.
I strongly suggest members either download their private messages into a csv file, or at least delete their sent messages periodically.
In order to come up with a fair way that is user friendly, we have decided we’d take the single most hated thing about the site that people dislike. The ads. So when or if you become a contributing member, you can choose from 3 separate levels. It basically has to do with how much of advertising you can tolerate.
The first level is free, most of you are already in it, except Vendors and Yuli, who decided today to be the first Supporting Member.
The second level is 10 bucks Cdn a year. This enables you to achieve the following things:
Join the Supporting Members Lounge
Disables the Google bars on top, the bottom and the side of the main page
Larger 120x120 Avatar
Your private message box increased to 1000
The third level is 20 bucks Cdn a year.
Join the Supporting Members Lounge
Disables all Google advertising
Disables top rotating banner advertising and the 2 square ads beside it
Larger 150x150 Avatar
Your private message box increased to 2500
Users can reply to classifieds
The fourth level is 30 bucks Cdn a year.
