2010 Chevy silverado Deck Change

Im looking at changing out my current 2010 Chevy Silverado deck for the Chevy Nav deck, has any one done this? My truck has the steering wheel controls, on star and blue-tooth, but does not have the bose sound system.

Can this be done or do i have to change alot of wiring?

GM is pretty plug-and-play they usually use the most extensive wiring even if some of them won't be necessary just so they don't have to try and install so many different things in so many different vehicles.

However to get an absolute answer I would hit up a forum Like GM-Trucks.com as they will have people that have actually done it.

hi

Do not hurry to change the wiring just go for a good mechanic and get some advice about it and go head.

I'm swapping out my stock non bose system in my 07 silverado, for a pioneer dvd unit, got all at Sonic, to keep your safety and door chimes, etc you need a special $40 adaptor, if you want to keep your onstar it will be about $150, and then I had to get a steering wheel control adaptor to keep that function, however this is for the Pioneer unit, the Chevy nav unit may just interface nicely without the other junk.I got the Pioneer 3300 dvd B\T, all the cables, a backup camera, add on security system, for 700 incl shipping and duties, but this doesn't have the nav module as I have a Garmin.
