Hey I hope some people here can help me in answering some questions I have. I just recently, as in am picking it up tomorrow. Bought a 2011 ford escape Limited V6 fully loaded and I noticed the sound system with the "premium sound" is not that good. I want to add a Sub " of there is not one" and better speakers. I have done this on my old 1998 jeep but not on any new cars. I am curious if anyone knows if the 2011 ford escape navigation system has a separate sub out that I will be able to hook up to an amp or what my be a good process for fixing the "premium sound" which is not all that premium. I know there is one guide on this forum the "Ford Escape 2011 - SQ Install" and am eagerly awaiting the results. But I have the premium sound and the navigation system so i realize I will need to do some stuff differently. If anyone has any thoughts on what I should do it would be greatly appreciated. I have a budget of approximatively $1500 for everything. If i can manage to get a good idea of what I need to do I will definitely document it for all for you to see.
