3-way Passive Crossover Front Stage???

I've got a 2way component set of 5.25" and tweeters. These came with a crossover as usual. I've also got a set of 2way coax. 3.5". I want to find a 3-way passive crossover to use all these speakers for my front stage, I'm sure the 2way coax. is not ideal but it's what I've got. Is this going to work? Wherer can I find the passive crossover? Any input would be appriciated. Thanks.

Dont do it, your speakers are not a good match for 3way and the crossover will be a real pain build (yup)...

I think you should ditch the 3,5 an get an amp for the 5,25 with the HPF set @ 80Hz.

Yah, right now I got the 5.25's on an amp (rear RCA's) and the 3.5's off the deck (front speakers). most of the time I have the 3.5's faded right out (R15) but for some songs I might fade them in a bit to about R12-10-8 (ya know the deck settings). Am I best to just leave it the way it is??

If I were you I'd keep the speakers where they are and add a high pass filter to the front (3.5") speakers. Maybe around 250Hz or so. This will allow you some front stage without the 3.5's breaking up. This is a cheap solution until you are ready to upgrade.

I figure that was the best before I really new about 3-way systems etc. I've got a cap. as a high pass in place now, it came with the 3.5's. From what I remember it was about 200hz or so. Well I guess it will all stay the same for now. It's all a learning process as before this system I only ran coax. speakers in the car off the deck with no crossovers at all.

If you post the model and year of your car maybe someone will be able to offer you personal experience in what worked for them regarding upgrades. Might save you a few bucks and disappointment down the road.

It's a BMW '98 318i (4door). I happy with the setup I've got now, I'm just want to tweek it a bit if I can. I'm not looking to win any comp's, I spend a least 1.5hrs a day going to and from work so i want a solid daily driver.
