Advice for speaker rewiring
Alpine 9811 is what I have but don't think I can use the Time Corr. settings cause of my speaker hook-up. 3.5" mids in the front doors run off of the H/U front wires, 5.25" compponents (woofers by the driver/passenger feet kick panel & tweets in door beside the 3.5's) are parralled with the 6x9's (mounted in the rear deck) on a JBL (P180.2) 2channel stereo amp fed by the "Rear" RCA signal. So when I fade to the front it's all 3.5's and no JBL. This way I keep the fade at rear 4 and might bring fade to even when I want to hear more vocals. HPF for all set at 120hz (set in head unit) and also a hardwired crossover for the 3.5's (in line cap. that came with the speakers).
Can/Should I run the JBL on the "front" RCA's and only power the 5.25 components. Then run the rear 6x9 from the rear head unit power and keep the 3.5's connected to the head unit front power? That way the front speakers are all on front signals. Will the Head Unit send signal for front rca's and front speaker power?
Please lend me your experience or knowlage. Thanks

That wiring will work fine, and allow you to fade appropriately. Another option is to get a 3 way passive cross over that will work with your speakers, and power the front 3 way with the amp, then use your deck for the rears. You really won't be able to use the time alignment properly in this scenario, as the speakers are in different locations. The only way to use TA effectively is to have one speaker per channel, then the time/phase domain can be manipulated based on it's location only. I have an 8 channel system that uses TA, but each driver has it's own amplifier channel, and TA for each driver...front center, left tweeter, left woofer, right tweeter, right woofer, left rear, right rear, sub. For you to use TA effectively, you need to ditch the 3.5's, mount the components together...tweeter and woofer in the kick panel or in the door, and get a 4channel amplifier or a second 2 channel. This will allow you to TA all your speakers properly, and get better sound overall. You may be able to do the TA with just the one amp and the internal head unit amp as well..though I've never tried, so you can try that first...it should work.
