Alpine CDA-9884
Well I moved up from my 2001 Sony Xplode to an Alpine CDA-9884. It was hard to give up my Sony as it was a great deck may her RIP.
Anyway my question. The alpine deck says you can either use manual mode to adjust the sound levels(bass, treble, subwoofer) or the built in factory EQ settings. In the manual on page 27-28 it says press imprint for 2 seconds turn off multiEQ and then you'll have different settings such as Factory EQ. When I press and hold the imprint button for 2 seconds the only choices i have are subwoofer and subw system. Not even subwoofer phase. somethign wrong here?
I want to be able to play with the factory built in EQ settings as well as set my own custom user settings.
Thanks hope I explained that right

press your multieq button once. you'll have the ability to change the sub level, the bass, the bass Q (wider or narrower) and the hz (60,100,160,200), same goes for the treble in the hz with 10khz, 12.5,15,17.5

I have read the manual as I put the link referencing it in my post. As well I reference it in my question too. You would know that if you would've read my question completely thanks for the tip.
I can adjust the treble manually. But in the manual on page 28 it says there are presets such as hip-hop, rock, Jazz. When i press the imprint/EQ button it doesn't give me an option to turn the multiEQ on or off.
Thanks

You bought the Imprint Kit right?
You do realize that unlike other HU makers Alpine doesn't believe you deserve more than a 2 band parametric EQ built into the unit unless you spring for the separate 150$ Imprint Kit and/or pay 450 for a 9887?
The multi-EQ/IMPRINT button will only give you access to the bass/treble, HPF, and Sub controls until you get buy the kit and unlock the other features. If you want decent EQ built in before you decide whether you want separate sound processing the only new Alpine worth getting is the 9887.

Alpine packs the CDA-9884 CD receiver with an impressive internal amplifier that delivers your music with impact and depth. You'll also appreciate the easy-to-read display, the simple controls, and the number of options for system expansion.
