Alpine Head Unit Problem

I've got an Alpine CDA-9874 head unit, I burned an mp3 cd and it plays the songs but not in tracks just as if its a tape cassete. It just plays the songs one after the other, the second song would start after song 1 in track 1. Weird. Its probably some option to change it but I played around for a while and couldn't figure it out, and doesnt say in the manual. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like it could be the way the MP3's are laid out on the CD. I wonder if there was some way you have the songs overlapping at the ends and beginnings of each song. It may have written the songs as one long file onto the CD. I don't see how the deck could play a new song, but not recognize its a new track. Since its not, I'm assuming they were written as one track.
Try burning another CD and see what options you have an that stage.
