Alpine IVA-W502 I-pod question
I could use some input from anyone who has experience with the IVA-w502 which is connected to an IPod using the USB interface.
After having received some incomplete information from the local (Hong Kong)
agent, I recommended this system to a handicapped user, for whom the MAJOR requirement, was complete IPod control from the remote. (RUE-4203)
Turns out that this isn't possible. You can't get the IPod menu (playlist, album, artist, title etc..) unless you input through the touch screen.
The person using the system sits in the back seat.
I chose the Alpine because of past experience with the brand, and the display is amongst the largest (therefore, clearest when viewed from the back seat).
Now I feel like a schmuck.
I've had the local distributor try out the RUE-4190 remote, but that doesn't solve the problem.
Any help is appreciated!
