I have a 15" alpine type-r that suddenly without warning just stopped working. I checked all connections and they all seem good.
So finally i tried just wiring separate voice coils, wiring it to one voice coil i again got no sound, but wiring it to the other voice could, sound was produced.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

 

yes, you have blown a voice coil....if it is a newer sub, try a warranty, if not, sorry about your luck
