i want t put 2 10" type x in my car but i'm not familiar with subwoofers. what size amp should i be running to power this?

 

The 10" Alpine Type X subwoofers are rated for 1000 watts RMS each, so look for something in the 2000 watts RMS range.

I believe they are dual 4ohm subs, so you can look for an amp that does that power at either 4 or 1 ohm. You can wire them either way.

That's gonna be a lot of amp, just so you know.
