Amp ohm help

I recently got a steal on a sub, when i got home i realized it was a DVC at 4 ohms. I know that it can be wired into 2ohms or 8ohms the only problem is that my amp has these specs:

Number of Channels 2
RMS Power (4 ohms) 100 watts x 2 chan.
RMS Power (2 ohms) 200 watts x 2 chan.
Bridged RMS Power (4 ohms) 400 watts x 1 chan.
Peak Power Output 1200 watts
Min. Impedance Unbridged 2 ohms
Min. Impedance Bridged 4 ohms

I was thinking of wiring it into an 8ohm load as at 4ohms i will only get 100watts to each coil. What do you think (in terms of wiring load) The sub is 500watts RMS and 1500peak.. .Thanks!

Id like to note, i have a different amp sitting around, im assuming it would be harmful to hook two different amps up to the sub? ie one per coil (because theyre sending different signals..

Yup, that's a problem isn't it.... wrong amp for sub or wrong sub for amp.

No, don't put a different amp on each coil.
The ONLY way you can have one amp on each coil is if the amps match Exactly.

AND, Stealing if frowned on in a BIG way, around here.

That is a possibility, but the t/s parameters of the sub will not be the same as the published figures. Unless of course they published parameters for this configuration.
