Aux not working :(

Unhappy Aux not working :(

hi i jsut have a a few questions, first of all i have A Pioneer Audio deck installed in my car(DEH-P4800MP) and i cant seem to get the AUX working, now when i cycle through the sources, i have already pluged in the AUX wire into the back of the unit but it doesnt seem to detect it or something, iv tried 2 wires now, if anyone knows anything about how to fix this or if im doing something wrong please tell me, any info would be much appreciated

you should check in your deck menu settings to ensure that the auxillary input is turned on... hope that helps

Unhappy how?

umm i was looking and i dont see where to turn on auxillary it didnt come with a manual or anythign when i baught it, i checked online and it wasnt really helpfull :S any ideas?, I dont need that IP-BUS thing do i?? because there;s already a pluging for AUX on the back one for AUX the other is for a wired remote.....

pioneer DEH-P4800MP

"To be able to play auxiliary sources through the AUX1 input, you must:- (whilst ignition is left on) - Turn off the unit by holding the source button - Press and hold the source button until the function name appears in the display. - Repeatedly press the function button until AUX1/ AUX2 is displayed. - Press arrow up or down to turn AUX1/ AUX2 on/off. - Exit this menu by pressing the source button. Then press source repeatedly to select AUX1, you should then have the AUX input switched on."

hey i have a random question, there isnt any way i could possibly get a usb adapter for my deck could i???

i think you would need one of these -Pioneer CD-UB100 USB Adapter-
maybe some one else knows a more cost effective way...
